The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), affiliated with the University of Toronto, is Canada’s most research-intensive hospital and the largest centre dedicated to improving children’s health in the country.  As innovators in child health, SickKids improves the health of children by integrating care, research and teaching. The Centre for Computational Medicine (CCM) is a Core Facility within the SickKids Research Institute.  Our mission is to provide the scientists and clinicians at SickKids with computational expertise, including High Performance Computing resources, Bioinformatics Analysis consulting and software development. The CCM also acts as a collaboration nexus, working with both biological/medical and computational scientists at SickKids and the University of Toronto to identify appropriate collaborators. In the current proposal, personnel from the CCM are responsible for running and managing CanDIG. CanDIG, with CCM as its lead institution, is a Canadian national platform that provides Canadian researchers with the ability to perform federated analyses of national cohorts across private, provincial data repositories.
